I am from Mexico but live in the USA, all the Sweedish I have met are cool people. I think that they are easy going and girls for the most part are very friendly and openminded, not to mention beautiful. I think Sweeden, from pictures I have seen, is a very beautiful country too.

I don't hear too much about Sweden, so I guess my initial opinion would be that it's sort of a low-key country. They don't seem to force all-things-Swedish on other countries (unlike us Americans, lol). They seem to have their own distinctly Swedish customs & traditions, while here in the U.S. traditions vary widely, as we're made up of from lots of different nationalities, a melting-pot as people say.... Wow, I really don't know much about Sweden... Pretty much what I hear about is that people there are really nice, gorgeous and that there are a lot of blondes, lol... And don't forget those Swedish meatballs!!!

Canadian raised in UK until 15.
Sweden sends us great hockey players, shares social values with Canada (probably because we are both ccold in winter) but Sweden is not as tainted by it's neighbours to the south into overriding it's rights and self determination. E.G. Swedan has Saab, Canada was made to destroy the "Arrow". Swedes are seen to be polite hard working and empathatic, perhaps a little ethnocentric but so are other successfull European nations e.g. Switzerland.

I'm from the US, in Texas.
I like Swedish meatballs, and that's about the extent of my knowledge of Sweden.
And, apparently, some guys have this fantasy of Sweedish women, blonde, tanned, and unable to speak English. I know that's a myth, but for some reason, it still appears to be up there.
p.s. I failed geography in a bad way.

Danny you COMPLETELY missed the point, 700 out of every 100,000 in America are imprisoned in Sweden 70 out of every 100,000 are imprisoned. The 1/10th does not connect to the 700 out of every 100,000 but it's the comparison of the Swedish imprisonment number to the American imprisonment number.
