2 year degrees are usually called Associates Degrees, and 4 year degrees are usually called bachelors degrees. An associates degree is not going to get you far, unless you earn it in a field with such worker shortages that it doesn't matter, such as nursing. The more challenging the program and degree, the more money you're going to earn with it. Get your bachelors and skip the associates, it won't do you any good.

2 year will get you a job. 4 year will get your boss their job.
The boss makes more money and gets to tell the 2 years what to do. Which do you want to be?
