Here's a cool site where you can view other people's lists...I never thought I would be fascinated by this, until I realized 1/2 hour had passed!

Oh, yes. It's tradition in my family to describe grocery items in the silliest ways on our grocery lists. Some examples of what you might find:

Cheeeeeeze
Cookies -- the good kind
Milllllllllk
Froot
Water -- both kinds
Vegetatas
Chips -- the blue kind
Magical Lucky Charms
Buttah

After looking at several lists on the site, I feel kind of persnickety! Most of those were just have written scraps of waste paper. Every other week, I do my list on a Microsoft Word document. I have three separate headings for the 3 stores I go to and make each store a different color ink to keep the organized. This I print it of in about a 20 point font. Really makes it easier to read and cross off as I am shopping. I also can type faster than I can write, so it works for me.

I don't usually leave lists around for an impression. If I'm wanting to be noticed, I'll say WAY too loudly to my partner, if he's with me, "Hey! Are we out of the K-Y yet???" or "Does Mom use the thin with wings or the super absorbant maxi overnighters?" I usually shop alone, but if he is with me or I'm with a friend, it's always a lot of fun to do this stuff....

We always get special notice.

I have read left over grocery lists when I worked at a grocery store. Most of them are pretty normal and boring, but I've seen the occasional weird item. Like sexual items or personal products or strange foods.

Yes, because I used to let my 5 year old daughter write out the list to practice her handwriting. They were always done with all the colors of the rainbow and in very big handwriting.

Yeah because I always have some type of comment or stupid doodle on it. I even sometimes Xerox a recipe and put the list on the back. I hope if they find it they enjoy the recipe.

All I need from the grocery store is... Three live goats, a golf club, a basket of strawberries and one gallon of chocolate ice cream. What do you think of that?

Not really, I don't peculiarly care what other people think and even less if I don't even know them. How odd to care about a shopping list left in the store.

I've left my list accidentally, but never wondered what anyone else would think because there's nothing unusual about my list at all.

YES ! Sometimes I even make one up, and leave it strategically placed to be found. I work in a grocery store bakery, and it gives me something to do while I make the damned donuts !
