Y is it that if u have female friends, ur wife assume that ur having affair, just because she didn't know her. I have guy friends she don't know about, maybe I'm having an affair with them too. Then when u tell her ur not. Then she say u want too that's way I'm her friend. Now she say she want a divorce, for me having a friend. I told her if it make her that upset I wont talk to her anymore, It's not like we talked everyday. But she insist that I cheated, she say emotional, but it wasn't. the chick was just someone to talk too, she knew nothing about me, or my family. I was upset with my wife when I meet her, but that was it . I told her I was married, and we just became cool. I mean we don't hang out or anything, just hi & bye every now and then. So what is happening? Should I stop trying.

I am SOOOOO sick of hearing how people need counseling if they have a friendship with someone of the opposite sex. What is with you people? Friendship doesn't mean cheating.... and it doesn't mean there's a problem in the marriage. Get over it already. We all need someone to talk to, and talking to someone of the opposite sex can put a different perspective on things and actually make us more aware of and in tune with our spouses points of view. If your spouse has a problem with you being friends with someone of the opposite sex.... maybe you should ask them why. My grandmother had an old saying..... nobody checks behind the bedroom door unless they were standing there once themselves!

The first priority in married life IS your partner. Going to someone else to discuss your marriage or anything about it is not right. It should have been your wife but if you both are having difficulties with communicating then that's a big issue, as you must be able to talk things over to ensure the marriage stays in a good way. Her current attitude has been generated by your behaviour. When you marry someone, it is your duty to protect the vows as they are sacred; and keep the honor of things as they should be. It is also a duty of each partner, to be able to assure each other that way; so that there are NO doubts what so ever.
It is a big responsibility but one that has been around for a very long time.

we hear u, maybe ur wife thinks there is more, so lets say if u were cheating would u tell her? To be honest with u the word (friend) would scare any wife. It's used loosely? U did say u wouldn't talk to ur (friend) anymore. Hope u mean it.
Good Luck.

My husband does the same thing to me ... if i talk to other guys he thinks i'm cheating on him ... your wife and my husband would get along just fine.
Maybe your wife is finding any way out of the marriage and you talking to another woman is her answer. All i can say is talk to your wife and ask if you both could seek a counselor to help your situation a little better. Good luck!

If your wife has a problem with it, then why is it even a question for you? SHE IS YOUR WIFE. What do you not get about that? Is it really that confusing for you. If you're upset with your wife, talking to another woman that should not be happening in a healthy relationship, seriously. For heaven's sake, stop whining and get your priorities in order.

Don't hang out with other women and disrespect your wife. You two should seek counseling.

Respect your wife and chill out with the female friends. I mean if thats what your wife wants then try to please her with that one wish.

If you value your marriage, the time has come for counseling. Such jealousy can be ruinous.
