I normally don't have to use my inhaler but once a month or so and that's only if i get around a dog or cat. But I've been using it about 6 times a day (especially at night) for the past couple weeks. I haven't been to my allergy/asthma dr. since i was a kid and i'm 29 now. How do they do allergy tests these days? When I was a kid they pricked your skin with different kinds of allergies to see if you would welp up.

Your asthma flare up is most likely being caused because of the weather where you live. When I was young suffering from asthma, my asthma would also intensify at night. You need to visit a doctor as soon as possible, but until you do that, check out these informative and helpful websites:

It could be due to the fallen leaves and the mold from them. Allergy tests are a breeze these days as they just take a blood sample. I had them done last fall and was surprised. I hated all the scratch tests that they used to do. If you are needing more and more medicine it's time for you to see your Asthma doctor as there are a whole truck load of new medications out there. Good luck!!! Nance

Yes. I am 20yrs old and I live in Oklahoma. I usually don't have to use my inhaler often, but with the weather changing like it is I have had to use it a lot. I think they still do the blood test to see what allergies you have. With the blood test they can see what indoor/ outdoor allergies you have. You may want to go see your doctor and tell him the problem you are having just to be on the safe side.

There are different allergy test which are highly improved methods to identify the cause. Dont compare the one whcih you had in your childhood. I feel you are allergic to dust. I am not a doctor but once i too suffered and it was diagnised as dust allergy. Take care to be away from dust and consult a good doctor.
