I see that one of the answerers recommended Massie's book. It's a great, entertaining read. You also got good advice about going to a library. There are lots of books about this topic, with a lot more (and more interesting) information that you can't get on the internet. If you depend only on web sources, you're missing out on a LOT!
And, the fact that there's so much info makes this a pretty easy topic to explore. Many people have already done the research. In fact, it's such a broad topic that you might want to zero in on just one aspect, such as Rasputin and his influence on the czarina, or the impact of hemophilia on the royals.

there's a group of people called the bolshevics they wanted to over throw the czar of russia because they don't believe that the king should rule over russia and people should have a say in government or something.
This was about the time when russian revolution was happening too. I don't know all the governemt details or events though but i know they got shot at the ipatiev house by russian revolutionaries the russian revolutioaries tried to bury them in forest but they changed burial sites because they were afraid that people would find out that the czar was dead. But then later they admitted to the whole thing.
For some reason people believed that anastasia escaped from the shooting alive. Some people claimed that they are anastasia and one of that person was Anna anderson.
Several years later a team of reserchers found out where the romanov family got buried they found that 2 bodies were missing. They weren't sure it could be Alexis or Anastasia or it could be Titiania
I think that's how it happened i don't know the details though.

Get Massie's book. You also need to be aware that they have exhumed the bodies in the last couple of years and two were not there (the boy's and one of the girl's). That was in the news. They've also done DNA testing on Anna Anderson's remains to show she was not Anastasia. That was on TV. The findings might have been corrupted, though, by some Romanov money.

Check out Robert and Susan Massie's book on the Romanovs. Czar Nicholos 11 and his wife, the German Alexandra have now been canonized as Russian Saints since the fall of Communism.

Try to find books on the Russian Bolshevik Revolution or the short civil war between the reds (communist) & the whites (royalists).
The execution was more of a murder which took place in a house in Yekaterinburg near the foothills of the Ural mountains. They were killed for fear that the white Russians would get to them, liberate & reinstate them, albeit as constitutional monarchists.

that's theory that the two babies for whom they got here across no keeps to be have been so small that no super strains of their bodies survived whilst they have been destroyed (i think of burned). the myths approximately anastasia romanov's survival larger whena youthful woman claimed to be the princess. over the years quite a few women have claimed this, maximum execs have self belief them to be no greater suitable than psychologically perplexed and delusional.

I agree with the other 2 answerers. Go with Massie's book. Very good and enlightening, though maybe a tiny bit biased as he wrote it inspired by his own son's hemophilia.
