Do you prefer to just watch your old favorite shows on DVD, rather than watch today's evening network programs?

No commercials. Nothing cut out. Watch them whenever I want. It doesn't get pre-empted during holidays.I can pause them. Commentary. Unreleased scenes.

BUT that being said I've bought a couple comedies on DVD, that I kind of didn't like so much on DVD. I think the sitcom is geared around the three acts and the break between them. Without the break your brain gets tired of funny.

One drawback to DVDs is sometimes songs are dropped out. If they included pop songs it would drive up the price so they just substitute generic music.

'WKRP in Cincinnati" may never come out on DVD. Too many songs to deal with. SCTV kept their music guests and those DVD sets are kinda pricey.

Yes, I do. Because sometime they are not always on as re-run's. And the other main reason's is because the TV on DVD has no commercial's.

Commericals: none
I can watch at my own pace..
Loads of extras to watch at my own pace..
And I don't have to cator to a TV station's time frame. I can watch and fast forward.. I can watch Buffy at 4 a.m. if I want.. OR I can watch House at 2 in the afternoon.

it's nice to not have the commercials to deal with by watching them on dvd.. and you can pause when you have to go to loo!
