Before we address the question we need to identify the two types of cloning: Reproductive and Therapeutic. Both types take an egg with it nucleus removed and implanting other genetic material. In reproductive cloning the embryo is implanted in a woman’s uterus. In therapeutic cloning instead of implanting the embryo stems cells are taken to grow organs. Currently there have been no procedures developed for successful therapeutic cloning. Therefore this answer only addresses reproductive cloning. There is a third type of cloning called Embryo cloning, currently there is not much discussion on this for humans.
Cloning is not as easy as some may think. In the case of Doll the sheep it took several hundred eggs to produce one live baby sheep. Additionally clones tend to live shorter lives. Doll had to be put down after only 7 years compared to a normal life span of 11 years. Similar issues have occurred with mice. In one study 10 out of 12 mice died before 800 days while of the 13 control mice only 3 died in that period. That is not to say that all clones have shortened life spans, only that currently there is a high degree of early deaths among cloned animals. Given that it takes a lot of genetic material to product a single clone and that that clone has a good change of dieing at an early age before any further progress in human cloning is addressed we need to fix the problems we have with animal cloning. That does not even take into account the moral and ethical questions involved in human cloning.
Let us address the question of do we need to clone humans. The answer is a resounding no. There are over 6 billion people on the earth. Many of these people live in poverty. What about the number of abortions each year and the number of children that don’t have parents? Before we start finding new ways of creating humans should we not address the problems that the world currently faces? We are doing fine populating the earth as it is we do not need human cloning. If you really want to be helpful go clone an endangered species.
Morally and ethically should we clone a human? Right now the only people that could clone a human are large corporations, government agencies, or scientific organizations funded by corporations or governments. What would the status be of that first human clone? Who would be its parents? Who would take care of it and look after its interests? Those questions do not just apply to the first clone but to all of the clones in the foreseeable future. Even after those questions are answered the big question still remains. Should we clone a human? The answer in my mind is no. Sometime even if you can do something you shouldn’t. Once we open that door it will be almost impossible to close it again. Once we start creating human life in that manner it only devalues all human life. What happens if some country decides to use cloning to create slaves? What happens if someone using that technology down the road decides to create genetically altered humans? Where does it stop? We are not ready for human cloning, hopefully we never think we are.

Human cloning is still illegal. This is because many people have religious issues against it, such as the fact that it is "playing God". I also agree that it is playing God, and surely what has been created can not be copied in any way. People of nearly all the religions have these same morals, especially Christians and Muslims. Therefore the majority of people would be against it becoming legal. Therefore I doubt the fact that it ever will.
I agree with those that are against it, because I can’t think of any moral reason why it would be right. The good thing about people is that everyone is unique, and surely then we would not be. This is because people would work out how to clone the cleverest, multi-tasking and most skilled person that there has ever been. These people would not complain about tasks. Basically, it is like everyone being robots. If it stays illegal, then this process would not be able to develop any more.
Note: By the way this is only 168 words. If you reright it in your own words then it will probably be longer and it would actually look like your own work. Otherwise it would be classed as cheating, and you could get in trouble for it.

Our society can benefit from cloning. Science fiction stories have put altered views into the minds of many people, but I think it scares them because it is so new. There are many movies that have had aliens in them and changed the views of space for people, but we still have government funding for space programs such as NASA. People will just have to get used to the idea of cloned individuals. The technology is so new that it will take years to develop, but I think that cloning humans is inevitable, whether it be for medical purposes, research, or to satisfy the needs of infertile couples, etc.
Cloning is not immoral because of copying genetic code; in fact, it is the same concept as twins, except one is older than the other is. There are 150 million twins in the world that does not have unique genetic code. I also do not think that we will have to worry about diseases or epidemics because of genetic diversity. First of all, there are 5 billion people on earth, and secondly, cloning will be done on a modest scale because of cost and not all mothers will want to be the mother of a clone.

You are one highly unintelligent human being.
a) Nobody is going to write you a 200 word answer because all you will do is copy it and use it as your own work.
b) There is no "correct" answer since everyone has their own opinion on the matter.
c) The only person who can write this is you because it's supposed to be YOUR opinion.
d) Perhaps none of us do support it.
e) And no, you fool, human cloning is banned across the world. Maybe if you spent less time looking for people to do your work on Yahoo! Answers, you'd know that.
GOOD DAY.

First off i don't think we should clone anyone no matter who they are or were in this world.look at half these puppet-heads in the white house they don't care about the value of family, friends, nor do they respect OUR american rights.I bet your also against WAR aren't you?Who wins any war?Lives are destroyed in the almighty dollar. If they cannot get it together in the top office of 50 states what makes you or anyone think cloning another human isn't a GOD complexity?Stem cell i support not cloning it's against GODs divine plan for all human beings and then where do you draw the line before they decide who should live or die.this can be researched by the "HIS" story of all our brothers and sisters (Gods children!!) does it sound like war on humans with the blood of another on our american hands?I'm no domonination of religion but know that THOU shall not kill seems to be conviently forgotten when puppet-heads like our prez want MONEY, next stop clone that ASSHOLE ( Adolf HITLER!!) our american values should focus on education,FAMILY,and not bullSHIT like Looks, fame and money--Desiree S

Human cloning would okay to help the sick and dying people all over the world, if the government wouldn't try to abuse it. However, as soon as something new comes out, it is rendered government controlled and free for them to do what they wish with it.

if clones have been ever made criminal for even if reason, i think of they could desire to be taken care of with the comparable admire given to the unique guy or woman. being a clone dosent advise which you cant sense thoughts, and with thoughts the clone turns into mroe complicated and not in basic terms an common replica of somebody anymore, it turns into yet somebody else, somebody else who become destined to stay in simple terms not by using organic childbirth. it could be un-ethical to handle them as spare areas or slaves, for even if in the event that they are copies they are nevertheless human.

The excitement about human cloning is not making mini-me's, it is about creating replacement body parts.
If you want tiny versions of yourself, learn how to make babies the old fashioned way, in a test tube.

I dont want 5 stars
It may be legal to make human clones in the future possibly.
But dont expect others to do your homework
