YES THIS WILL FILL THE OIL FILTER ON YOUR CAR. SOME OIL FILTERS CAN HOLD UPTO A QUART OF OIL SO THE PROPER THING TO DO IS START THE CAR THEN SHUT IT OFF WAIT APPROX. 3 MIN. THEN CHECK THE LEVEL IF LOW ADD SOME MORE

You want to run the engine for a minute or two right after you change the oil..Your oil needs to get pumped into the oil filter before you check it.

The oil will appear more full if you do not run it first. When you run your vehicle it circulates the oil through your engine which lowers the oil on your dipstick and is more accurate.

Yes. Run for at least 2 minutes, and while it runs, look closely for leaks, particularly around the filter area.

Run it a bit but then stop it for a while before you test so that all that is supposed to be in the sump has gravitated down there
