Ok, I was feeling some pretty strong movement the past few days, last night I had eaten some sugar cookies w/icing and it made me sick, to much sugar I think, I started sweating and feeling really bad and depressed for no reason, later that night I felt very little movement(but I did feel some) The same today I feel a bit better but movement has really slacked of and when i do feel it it is not near as strong, Is this normal at this stage for movent to not be as much or as strong? I have a call into the doctors office but they wait till the end of the day to call back.

Thanks to the ladies who are at least understandable of my miscarriages, if you have never had one then you really don't know how hard it is to NOT worry, I really am trying here. Since this is around the time I lost my last baby I think i'm more worried than normal.

Your baby has been moving around for quite sometime now, however, most 1st time mothers do not feel much movement until 18-22 weeks. Even at this point movement will not be "strong". It should feel somewhat like a gas bubble moving (of course without pain). Typically once you become fully aware of your baby's movements, you should make sure (s)he moves atleast 8-10 times per hour. You will eventually become aware of your baby's active and resting periods. Don't be surprised if your baby decides to play acrobat while you are attempting to rest. This may be due to the fact that as you walk around and go about your daily routine, your body motions tend to lull the baby to sleep. Once you become still, the baby might awaken. Some researchers believe that this may be why some babies come into the world with their days and nights confused. If you are still concerned, it is always wise to see your OB-GYN. As for your intake of the iced cookies, it sounds like you had a sugar spike. mention this to your doctor next time you have an appointment. (S)He may to some glucose testing to rule out Gestational Diabeties.
Best of Luck!!

It's easier for women to say "just wait" if they haven't had a miscarriage. I've never miscarried, but i had a threatened miscarriage at 12 weeks, so i know when something bad happens you tend to worry more.

I would say that you're not far along enough to feel regular movements. You'll feel movements; some days you'll feel the baby all day and then you won't feel the baby for a few days. Sometimes if you're busy enough you may not notice any movement, either. Or if you're like me and have that forgetful hormone, you may feel the baby and then later forget you felt it! Calling the doctor is the best thing to do, that's what they're there for. Good luck. :)

Some days are really active and some are not. Babies have lazy days like we do. Since you are only 18/19 weeks the baby has lots of room to do his "exercises". It might be doing somersaults and you never know it. When I went for my 25 week ultrasound with my first I couldn't feel anything, but the scan showed that the baby was moving a lot right then.

I remember from some of your previous questions that now is around the time you lost your last baby. So, it is understandable that you are extra concerned. However, stress is not healthy for the baby. Try your best to relax and remember that the best thing you can do for your baby is to take care of yourself (which includes not stressing yourself out)...I wish your baby good health, but it's probably just fine.

hi! sorry your having such a difficult time! doctors don't seem to get overly concerned over the baby's movement until the late-twenty weeks. thats when they ask everytime you go in if the baby is moving okay. all the way through my pregnancy mine would move more one day than another or maybe he would go an entire week without moving much then the next week he had alot of catching up to do. i think it will be okay. seems like you have every right to worry though. as you get farther along you will be able to detect a problem easily though because most of the time you will notice some type of pattern in your baby's movements. right now they are still off and on. good luck!

Your only 18 weeks pregnant. Your baby won't really start moving much till 21-25 weeks, or longer. It's fine, but don't eat or drink to much sugar. That can give you and ur baby a certain type of diabetes. When u have ur baby u'll lose the diabetes, but ur baby will keep it forever. It's alright! Ur baby won't move 24-7! If ur to serious, go to the doctor!

i think it's no big deal. somedays i feel more movement than others but i lost a baby too so i make an effort to not pay attention to these things. it may make me sound awful but there is nothing i can do if something is wrong but all my worrying may cause something to be wrong. sounds confusing but...

It's good you're concerned, but you ask this question alot. You asked it yesterday too. I'm sorry, but there's really no need to worry. If it's moving then that's all you need to know.
