With Carpenter on the mound with full rest, the Mets will be shutdown. The Mets have been horrible with RISP and I predict they won't do any better tonight. As a loyal Cards fan, I've gotta say that I'll be waving to the Mets as they get on their plane back to New York.

Tonight's Heroes Prediction:
Carpenter: 8 IP 4H 0 ER 7K
Molina: 2-4 2RBI 1R
Pujols: 2-3 1 HR 2 RBI

well I think the mets will win if their big bats step up like Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgato, and David Wright. The mets will have to work really hard on Offense and Defence because they have John Main pitching and the Carinals have Chris Carpenter. I think the mets will have to start scoring early or the Cardinals will have this game in the bag.

I doubt Carpenter will struggle two times in one series but if anyone can hit him it will be the Mets. The pressure is totally on NY so the Cardinals have a great opportunity to win. As for the idiot who says Carpenter is overrated then everyone who votes for the Cy Young award must be as stupid as you are. Go Cardinals.

They better, or it is all over. The Mets do have homefield advantage, but it is not looking good for the Mets right now. If Tommy Glavine couldn't stop Albert Pujols, who do they have left to do so? Unless Carlos Beltan and Carlos Delgado wake their bats up, the Cards are on their way to lose to the Tigers in the World Series.

Chris "Overrated" Carpenter has only won 4 games all year against teams with records over .500. Most of his wins came against weak opponents like Pittsburgh.

So yes, the Mets will win.
