i love writing songs, i have hundreds. How can i become a professional songwriter? just to hear my songs being played would be great. i have a good voice but at 26 i think im too old to be a singer so songwriting is the next best thing.

well i believe you have to get engaged with musicians so you can start do do some real song righting.
You first really ought to get the musicians to play your lyrics so you can hear your songs being played.
once they start to play your music you can record the music so you can lisan any time in your PC, stereo, or mp3 player

I have been a singer /songwriter for many years. I am now 43 and I have been singing all over the world. I have many songs published, a 7 year deal writing music and I have just had an album of music played on over 40 radio stations abroad. And all of this is because I LOVE writing and singing. God, 26 and you feel old. You can write forever no matter how old you are. I had my breaks when I joined the GISC and I made many new contacts etc. I send out my songs each month to publishers and wait patiently for replies, and when i get a deal it feels fabulous. Stick at it, Go for it and never give up.

Nashville Tenesse is correct, however, i would not say you are too old at all.
Why not make your own recording and post it on the net for reviews, other groups have done it and now have a fully blown career!!!

write down your thoughts write poams and converte them into songs im 14 and i love to sing/write songs i dont think you are to old to become a singer!
