Why do women find it ok to walk around all day in a bikini but get embarrased if caught in bra and panty? Just a silly question but it is kinda true when you think about it!

i dont like any of them bras dont feel good panties bbunch up and i go to nude beaches to get an even tan so to you question i would pick bras and panties because they look better on the floor

They are essentially similar garments. I think the difference is in the way people feel about them -- a bikini is meant for other people to see in public whereas the bra and panties are considered underwear and not something you go showing everyone all the time.
Fabric-wise, many bra and panties are quite sheer and see-through whereas standard bikinis are generally a solid material. Of course, there are many bikinis that are far more revealing, but the choice of those is up to female who wears those.

I've thought the same thing before. Normally speaking a bra and panties are more sheer than a bikini and thus you can see "through" them easier... but with most of modern bikini styles, there is little left to the imagination anyway.

Because we know that it is socially acceptable to walk around in a bikini, but not in our underwear. Put it this way... if you had a 16 year old daughter, would it be okay to go to the beach with her if she wore a bikini? Of course it would be. What about watch her make breakfast in her bra and panty? Probably not. Then it is seen as intimate because undergarments are supposed to be hidden.

LOL....so true i never thought about that. I guess cause a bikini is made for the purpose of being seen in and bra and panties (thong in my case) is more personal. BTW is that really you in the pic. Nice. email me ok pamkline@hotmail.com

I find that those women who do run around in bikinis don't really mind being caught in their undies. They're confident. However, people like me, who wear a one peice with a t-shirt over top, do find it embarrassing. Or it could be that alot of undies are somewhat see through and revealing, however, bikinis are made of thicker material and don't show through as much. (unless it's white and you get wet).

As a woman I would have to say that you buy a bikini for everyone to see, but you buy bra and panties for you and that special someone. You don't want everyone to see your private undergarments. don't guys care about who sees them in their boxers/briefs?

bikinis are made for showing in public - bra & pantys those seem kind of intamate don't they? although some girls wear bikini tops as bras.....

Because the bikini is MADE to be worn without anything covering, and the bra and underware are not! silly!
