Very mixed. I love the ideals, the principles, the concept.

But these are very dark times for my country. Perhaps even worse than the civil war.

I have long hated much that the government has done, and am disgusted with the beliefs of many of my fellow citizens.

But many of us are still in here pitching, trying to save our country and turn it into what it should be. There are many true Americans who agree with me (on many things, few on everything).

But these times are by far the worst I've seen in my lifetime (nearly 50 years).

The only thing I can say for BushCo is, they've certainly kindled the latent patriotism of this American. They are the most loathsome and disgusting creatures I've ever known, and they've stolen my country.

It is to weep.

I love my country! I love America and I'm proud to be an American (where at least I know I'm free...)! This is the greatest country in the world and everyone knows it, even though most hate us, but that only works until they need the loans, the food, the military support, etc. I wish that all those that aren't patriots in this country would just get out of here and go live in Canada.

I am half american, ( my dad was born in Cali ) but I was born 12,000 miles away in a very peaceful & different country. At least America seems to try to be good. There our powers that be that supercede our goodwill, but all will come to a halt when He deems ready for intervention. I like America on the whole, we all have the chance to pursue our dreams. However I don't like the materialism and idol worshipping of celebrities. We are all God's children, and are judged by our deeds & words, regardless of our worldly stature. But I feel the media keeps this country up to date, and informed. This way, if you are up to no good, you WILL be exposed.

I like it better when warmongers aren't running the country. Remember the Clinton administration? defecit erased, peace, A war lasted hours instead of years! Look at us now, borrowing from other countries to fight a meaningless war that can have no end. To answer your question, I love it. We just need new leaders that have more concern with Americans than bullying the rest of the world. It looks a little out of control to me.

Hi....Live in a America, born here.....It's all I know so I don't really have an opinion on other countries and don't pretend to. I like it enough to continue to live here although sometimes.....I wonder if our government is going to implode on itself and force me to move abroad. Point is.....we're not perfect even though some would prefer to think we are.
