This is a borderline a gems-for-junk offer.
Holt is arguably the no. 1 receiver in the game and Gates is an elite tight end who is incredibly valuable if the TE position is mandatory in your league. Tatum Bell is just coming on - keep in mind that he was not the opening day starter and he has already had his bye week. Bell has already had two 100 yard games and is currently on pace to rush in the neighborhood of 1,500 yards. If he can start scoring some TDs Bell can be an elite back.
On the other end, Andre Johnson is a top receiver on an awful team. He can put up points, but he's a significant downgrade from Holt. Ben Watson has performed as a dime-a-dozen TE and is not even comparable to Gates at this point. Deuce McAllister momentarily retains a slight edge over Bell (I think Reggie Bush actually helps him), but nothing of importance for the purposes of this trade.
My take? If somebody offered me the trade as is and I was on the Holt side, I'd tell them never to offer me a trade again unless they're serious. A guy like Holt should cost extra. Out of this equation, Johnson/McAllister for Holt and a reserve back is plausible, but it depends upon the size of the league and needs of the teams involved.

No way, Holt, Gates and Bell deserve at least a 5 for 3 player deal
Holt is way to hot right now to let go and Gates explodes in the later half of the season.
Duece is sharing carries with Bush so dont even consider it.

Gates for Watson is horrible. Gates is always one of the top TE's, and Watson hasn't done much. Bell for McAliister is good. But Torry Holt is red hot now. Do not trade him. I know Johnson is doing pretty good, but not as good as Holt. I would only go with Bell for Deuce, because that's the only reasonable one. Gates and Holt are in the top 5 for their positions.

I don't see it as "even".
Watson is barely worth having on your team, let alone being a starter -- that to me eliminates him from the equation. (Same thing goes for the lesser receiver; you can get one of those off the free agent wire, you don't need to pay for them.)
So with Watson out of the picture, that's Holt/Gates/Bell, for A.Johnson/McAllister. In my opinion, Holt beats Johnson, and Bell is just as good as McAllister, if not better. So that means you're giving up a "very good" receiver, for just a "good" one. Plus, you're giving away Antonio Gates, for free!
I don't like this trade at all. If somebody offered it to me, I'd try to find a way to get them back.

Gates and Holt are too good. Bell is solid also. Duece is probably going to get hurt, the Texans are not good, and Ben Watson is unproven. If you are the one getting Holt/Gates/Bell...go for it.

i could do it, and that's why: You get eleventh basic (Maroney/R Johnson) 14th basic (top WR...Smith, Harrison or Chad Johnson They Get: 18th basic(E. James/Jones Drew) thirty first basic(Fitz/R Williams/J. Walker forty second basic(driving force/L Evans/J Lewis) i quite believe the improve at RB from the 18 to 11 %. is a super one. additionally going from receivers like Fitz and Roy Williams to Steve Smith and Chad Johnson is surprisingly stable. additionally, possible get a surprisingly stable QB interior the 6-eighth rounds. Rivers, Hasselbeck, Romo, Kitna, Cutler, and Leinhart are all in this area. you're able to break a sprint at your 2d and third WR positions, even though it quite is much less complicated to discover adult men in unfastened organization then it quite is a top RB. i think of you get the appropriate of this commerce. although, in case you DO finished this commerce, you quite can not! draft a QB with your first 3 alternatives. not having the subsequent rounds to make up for the loss at RB and WR will harm you greater then waiting to get a decrease ranked QB.
