To yourself or others. While I know nearly ten by heart, the few I enjoy saying to myself are Donne's tenth sonnet, Frost's The Road Not Taken, and Shakespeare's Fidele, which is my favorite to say. I'm not sure why, but it appeals to me.

This is Fidele

FEAR no more the heat o' the sun,
Nor the furious winter's rages;
Thou thy worldly task hast done,
Home art gone, and ta'en thy wages:
Golden lads and girls all must,
As chimney-sweepers, come to dust.

Fear no more the frown o' the great,
Thou art past the tyrant's stroke;
Care no more to clothe and eat;
To thee the reed is as the oak:
The sceptre, learning, physic, must
All follow this, and come to dust.

Fear no more the lightning-flash,
Nor the all-dreaded thunder-stone;
Fear not slander, censure rash;
Thou hast finish'd joy and moan:
All lovers young, all lovers must
Consign to thee, and come to dust.

No exorciser harm thee!
Nor no witchcraft charm thee!
Ghost unlaid forbear thee!
Nothing ill come near thee!
Quiet consummation have;
And renowned be thy grave!

There once was a lesbian from Cancun
Who took a young man up to her room
Where they argued all night as to who had the right,
To do what and how much and to whom

That was Kevin Spacey's recite in the movie The Life Of David Gale, like that one!

Also this is from The Legend Of Zelda- Ocarina Of Time

Time passes, people move
Like a rivers flow, it never ends
A childish mind will turn to noble ambition
Young love will become deep affection
The clear waters surface reflectsl growth

It is something that grows over time,
True friendship, a feeling in the heart
The becomes even stronger over time
Soon friendship will blossom and flourish into
Ritcheous power and through it you will know which way to go

The rising sun will eventually set,
A neborns life will fade,
From sun to moon, moon to sun
Give peacful rest to the living dead

those are the first two that come to mind!

Shakespeare's Sonnet #50

How heavy do I journey on my way
when what I seek, my weary travels' end
Doth teach that grief and repose to say
thus far the miles are journeyed from my friend
The beast that bears me, tired with my woe
plods dully on to bear that weight in me
as if, by some instinct the wretch did know
his rider loved not speed being made by thee
The angry spur can not provoke him on
which sometimes anger thrusts into his side
which dully he doth answer with a groan
more sharp to me than spurring to his hide
For that same groan doth put this in my mind:
My pain lies onward and my joy behind

I love that one.

You would also probably like "The Rape of Lucrece" and "Venus and Adonis" Both have versus that I love to recite. I also have quite a few of my own sonnets that I enjoy reciting and my GF loves it. Not ALL real men hate poetry

Edit: I forgot about Dr. Suess's "Green Eggs and Ham" That's another one of my all time favorites... the kids LOVE IT too. Green Eggs and Fox in Sox are both very very fun to do.

You must be an awesome guy. If more men liked poetry, there would be less crime and no wars. You rock!
I like Romeo and Juliet:

"My bounty is as boundless as the sea,
My love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite."
Juliet to Romeo
Romeo and Juliet Act II, Scene II
