2piR = C => R = C/(2pi)
A = piR^2 = pi(C/(2pi))^2 = piC^2/(4pi^2) = C^2/(4pi)
substituting:
= (24pi)^2/(4pi) = 24^2pi/4 = 144pi cm^2

circumference of a circle = pi * diameter
If the circumference is 24*pi, then the diameter is 24 cm

area of a circle = pi * r^2 where r is the radius
radius = 1/2 the diameter = 12 cm

area of this circle = 144 * pi cm squared

circum = 2*pi*r
area = pi*r*r (pi * r squared)

24*pi = 2*pi*r

r = 12

area = pi * 12 * 12 = 144*pi~= 452.3893 cm squared
