how much does selling your plasma (blood) pay ?

for some reason my co-worker won't tell me, and i know he makes great money..

They used to advertise in the paper when I was in college that you could make I think $30 the first time and $20 each time after. This was in South Bend, IN.

Blood is restricted to every 110 days, but PLASMA can be given more frequently because the red blood cells are returned to the donor. As for the morality of it, I can't believe that comes up! So a person should find a better job for money, rather than give plasma that could save someone's life? It's not unreasonable to expect some kind of compensation for the plasma, especially if it is going to research! Whole blood is typically not paid for because most of it goes to help other humans and not necessarily into research. People are correct that your body could not handle giving that much plasma OJ and sugary snacks would have NO effect on the level of plasma in your body. It takes time and that's it (you also need to make sure you eat well).

Look in the phone book under blood banks and centers or if you get an Employment paper they usually have add in there for Plasma Centers, where you go and give plasma, and they pay you up to $60.00 a week. At least around here they do. That is in the Milwaukee area.

Good thing in Canada we donate blood. Maybe this help our medical bills stay at a reasonable price! I would call the blood bank to see how much they pay around your place.
