There is no doubt that the best subject to study is Latin. It is the basis of many European languages making them much easier to learn later if you want. Also Latin has a great literature. But the most important reason is that you get your mind trained without lumbering you with a lot of false preconceptions about how the world works. To have a good career in the modern world, go with the flow and take the best opportunity that comes your way - don't have fixed ideas.

the "best" degree is the one that interests YOU the most. The one that really gets you going--lights you up, turns you on, etc--And keep in mind, you can always change directions after you get started. Were I to do my career life over, I would have pursued environmental studies, earth sciences, that sort of thing--but that's just me--I think we desparatly need people to save our mother earth., good luck in you career choice. :)

What makes you all excited? Then study smething related to it. if you just care for something that gives you a great job, then consider these two:
(i)nanotechnology
(ii)BioInformatics
And one would serve you in all areas of your life, and never fails and you do not have to pay or attend university for is:: learn more about and befriend Christ. My friend, you will never regret it.
