It would be difficult to diagnose your symptoms without proper testing. Go see your doctor asap.

IF you were pregnant, you probably had a blighted ovum. It's where the DNA is corrupt and it never would have turned into a baby anyhow. This is why didn't know you were pregnant.
You really should wait a year to have another kid. Use protection, b/c, or an IUD. Your body needs time to heal. Just b/c you can get pregnant doesn't mean you should.
Risk of m/c is increased by not waiting one year after birth of a viable child.
Most often these first trimester miscarriages resolve themselves. If you don't pass all the blood and tissue, you'll need a d&c.
By the way, you may not be having a miscarriage. Not all miscarriages include an abnormally large amount of blood and tissue. This may be residual from the birth of your daughter.
On the safe side, see a doctor....

probably not, it is not uncommon for new mothers to have heavy periods for up to a year after birth. What you may have is endometrial hyperplasia, where the tissues of the uterus prepare heavily for pregnancy, if you have more than two such heavy periods in a row, then you may want to seek out your gyn doc for a consult on a possible D&C to rid yourself of all that excess endometrial tissue. And of course, if the bleeding doesn't stop inside 21 days. Remember a little blood goes a very long way, the most blood women produce in a period actually amounts to less than a quarter cup, it just looks like alot. Any abdominal pain, or fever associated with your period needs to be addressed medically immediately of course.

You could possibly be. You are most fertile after having a child.
If you are bleeding that much you need to go to the Emergency room immediately. You do not want to lose that much blood.
I know when they thought I was having a miscarriage they were asking how many pads I went through that day. Definately go straight to emergency care.
Unfortunately there is nothing they will be able to do to save the unborn baby but for your safety go get help now.

You could be...but without an exam I have no idea. If you call and tell the MD this, they will likely get you in today or tell you to go to the ER.
Sometimes the placenta wasn't fully delivered and can come out later. You should take a sample of your discharge with you to determine what kind of tissue it is.

It's a strong possibility but may not be the only explanation. I suggest you get in to see your OB/Gyn, today if you can, to have this checked out.
