I guy at my work thought it would be funny to screw around with the computer I work on. Somehow he has gotten all the keys to type out something besides what you type. For instance, when I press y the letter is z and z is y. What should I do to fix this problem.

I don't think it has anything to do with changing it to Dovark, he's very good with computers and probably created a batch file to automatically remap my keyboard (or something like that).

First question: how'd you type your question? I'd guess that the setting for the keyboard layout was changed from Qwerty to Dvorak. Here's how to check and change it back:

For 2000/XP Users: Start > Settings > Control Panels > Regional and Language Options > Languages>Details > Add. Select English (United States) for language, and Make sure that Dvorak is de-selected from the list. Hit okay, click the Language Bar button, enable the language bar, hit okay, apply, and you’re done!

For 95/98/NT users: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Keyboard > Language >Properties (from here, see the procedure above).

Hope this helps!

Use the MSKey Keyboard tool to test your keyboard. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type mskey, and then click OK to start Microsoft Keyboard Diagnostics.
2. On the Device Information tab, select the device that you want to test, and then click the Input Monitor tab.
3. Press the keys on your keyboard to determine whether the keyboard is working.

Run Control Panel and choose International.
2. Change your keyboard layout to any layout other than:

• The current layout. -and-

• The layout you ultimately want.

3. Change your keyboard layout to the one you want again.
4. Choose the OK button.
5. Restart your computer to update the last known good system configuration.
