Because pets are bottomless fonts of unconditional love, and they never hurt your feelings or leave you for a better owner. They do not disappoint save for the occassional soiling incident, or chewing up your favorite pair of shoes. They may rip up the carpet but they will never rip out your heart.

because your pet wont cheat on you - most people that cannot maintain a relationship with other humans resort to a different rlationship that cannot hurt them - these people have trust issues... you dog or cat will love you unconditionally - but its not the kind of love we feel for our mates.

Maybe if human beings would treat each other with dignity and respect, this kind of thing would not happen. alot has to do with how we treat one another. for instance, Dating. instead of making the other feel like garbage and saying things like (if you looked like Cindy Crawford then you'd be worth going out with. or this classic one( if you were tall, blonder thinner) you get my meaning what the world needs is this everyone reguardless of race creed religion what they look like. everyone is has a contribution,opinion and we all are special not just certain groups of people..

pets do not hate or discriminate and they do not judge and are there for you always and don't care what you look like and they love you unconditionally,i have yet to find a human that does all that!

Pet needs are always consistant. No real shockers. Pets love you b/c you are their lifeline and depend on you and in return show appreciation. People don't always behave as well.

The reason I have more sympathy & love for animals is plainly because they are not stupid in an inexcusable way. Wherein they can read books & learn things to educate themselves. They are a tad slow in an adorable way.

Because your pet loves you no matter what. You can be overweight, smelly, a crackhead, a bank robber. It doesn't matter, your pet will still love you.

because they're mentally unstable. that they think animals can love the exact way as a human can.
not that animals can't love, but animals love in different way.
