My computer would not connect to the internet and my wirless program does not show up. Please help!

I can definitely relate to that. My desktop computer automatically recognizes my hardware, but my laptop does not.

The programs that CAME with the computer should have been provided on an installation disc from the computer manufacturer. They make you pay for those programs when you order the computer, so they also should provide you with an installation disc. As far as any other programs you used that you are missing, you'll have to install those on your own.

The reason why things like your display and internet don't work is because the computer does not recognize the hardware in your computer. You need to install drivers so that the computer can recognize and utilize the hardware. First, for your internet, your computer should have also come with a Utilities and Drivers-type disc. This allows you to install the drivers that came with your computer. If not, you would probably have to look up the information online through another computer, burn the install files to a disc, and then run the disc in your computer.

You might want to double check to make sure that the other hardware in your computer is recognized. Your display may be working, but is it working with the video card that it should be running on? When I reformat, my display doesn't show up as nicely because I don't have the drivers for my video card installed.

Another way you can get drivers for your computer is by going to the drivers download site for your computer maker. (For example, if you ordered a Dell, you would go to http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx input your computer information, and see the possible drivers that you're missing.) Or if you know what kind of hardware you have, you can go to the website of the hardware maker. They usually have drivers that you can install. (For example, if your video card is a ATI Radeon, you can go to http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx and download the driver you need by navigating through the site based on your operating system and graphics card.)

**Note** Make sure you know exactly what hardware your computer as before you download the drivers online. A wrong driver might not be compatible with your hardware.

An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz

Look sounds like you have some extreme serious problems. I have no idea what you did or how you did it. But what I would suggest is, take it to a place where they work on computers and explain to them everything. Take your original software with your operating system and everything else. It will take them about a week to totally clean your system and reinstall everything like it was when you first bought the computer.

your going to have to reinstall some drivers and programs to make everything work again. the way to tell what drivers you need is like this: right click on my computer-choose manage-click once on device manager-now on the right side anywhere you see a little yellow exclamaiton point you will need that driver.
if you are unable to get online with that computer now you will have to download the drivers from one computer and transfer them somehow to yours. like with a flash drive or cd or something. the easiest way to get all the drivers is to go to the manufaturers website. like if you have a dell go to dell.com or if you have an hp go to hp.com. once at thier site look for support and downloads. you will have to put in your pc info so they pull up the right drivers. then just download and install them that should get everything working right again. good luck

If you have a router that is configured for DSL, then all you need to do is...

Click Start | Control Panel | Create a new connection

Follow the wizard.

If you PC is directly connected to DSL you may need the software from your provider.
