Hi Stu4milk,
You didn't say weather for boy or girl or how much money to spend.
Latest is iPod, CD player, computer, music cd's, books, poster, things for their rooms, clothes, there own phone line-cell phone, perfume/colonge, jewerly, if they have a hobby-candle making, wood projects, models, any kinda do-it-your self projects, board games, puzzles-3rd kind, if they collect things-coins,stamps,baseball cards etc.,stereo, Play Station, X-box, DVD's, food gift certificates, movie tickets, you can get Visa credit cards for any amount- through most banks so they can buy exactly what they want & $$'s always work. I usually start with larger boxes then wrap & so forth, continuing until I work my way down to smallest size boxes putting stocking stuffers in each box between so that way they get things in each box until finally they get the Visa credit card. Grandkids appreciate getting something in each box depending on their on Christmas lists-useful things (like school stuff, things for there room etc.). Have a good day! :0)

Well, it depends on how much you're willing to spend. I think a lot of 13 year olds are into MP3 players right now, so if you have a reasonably big budget, you should go for a new iPod nano. However, there are many really nice MP3 players that cost less than an iPod out there, too. I know a couple of 13 year olds who absolutely love Nintendo DS and PSP, so that might be worth it. If it's a girl, try to avoid getting her makeup or perfume because sometimes the girl's parents won't allow her to wear it. Also, when I was 13, I would have loved for anyone to get me a gift card to the local mall. You can pick up a mall gift card at the information desk, and most malls offer gift cards that are good to any store there. That might be a good way to go.

Mall gift certificates. Concert tickets. You didn't say boy or girl, but boys seem to like playstation etc so games or devices. Or a girl, music (cds or mp3 players, ipod) or clothes. But if you want to do something above and beyond ~ pick something he/she likes to do together. A concert or a spa or the movies or amusement park or something. Then it's not just a gift, but a memory.

Since this is a new house, maybe something related to the theme of "New" or "First Time." Think of things that the both of you had done in the past that would remind each other of the first time you two did... anything. First date, first kiss, first time he slept over and vice versa. e.g. CD of a song that was playing during your first kiss. Maybe you could even just buy a new sexy lingerie, guys usually loves that. I know I do! Hope this helps!

Depending on your capacity, and the gender of this Teenager that your talking of...For a 13 yo girl, you can consider one nice girlie stuff that could make her heart smile. And so with the 13 yo boy.You can actually give them anything that would make them so happy to have for..anything that you can afford to...as long as it could make a child feel very, very happy. It doesn't really matter.Maybe you can ask the child what he/she likes. If not,you can ask the parents or anybody who's so close to him/her.
