if you are asking this question then i KNOW you are not the one in prison, inmates are not allowed access to computers (except for comp edu) and definately have no access to internet in texas......are you dating an inmate through the mail and the inmate wants a divorce?
a: tell him to go to the law library and look up the statues and file the thing himself.
b: don't send the inmate any money because, and i say this because i was an officer in a maximum security prison for several years, he is playing you honey. i guarantee that he has at least 1 other woman out there sending money to his inmate trust fund because:
they loooove him
he said someone has threatened him and he has to pay them off so he won't get hurt/killed.........inmates can't trade $$
c: why the hell would any sane person want to mess with an inmate? you do realize that they are NOT celibate in prison....and i'm not talking about rape......i'm talking about "freaky friday" which is date night in prison when all the inmates get all showered up and have their 'dates'.
d: do you want an inmate cause you are so insecure that you now know where he is all the time?

I have no idea.
I have never had the pleasure of visiting the prison in Texas or any other prison for that matter.
Are you having fun there? Why on earth would you want a divorce now? I mean really how much can she b*tch at you while your there? Just sit back and try to enjoy your quite time.

if you have the money, you would hire an attorney to file all the paperwork for you. or you can get a friend to get a paralegal to come down to the jail and help you file the paperwork. you will also have to get a notary to notarize everything for you. depending on what type of security prison you are in and what type of visitors you have.
what about your husband? does he want a divorce? if so, he can start the proceedings and you all would have to do is sign a stipulation and an order can be processed that way.
