We have a 2001 Dodge Durango that gets its yearly maintenance and was just fine all day yesterday.

It was warm yesterday and snowed over night and now it is 27degrees could the cold weather be a factor or did something decided to go wrong right in the middle of the day?

All help will be appreciated.

cold weather could be a factor for sure.
does it crank and try to turn the engine over? If so then you could have a number of problems, if it just clicks when the ignition is cycled then more than likely your battery was weak and the cold did it in. If its just the click, check to see if other power options work, like headlights, radio, wipers, if they are slow or dont work. You get to buy a new battery.

for the most part the weather should not have much effect on the cars performance... need more discription on what the car does when you start the car. could be the battery, starter cyliniod, distributer, ect...

maybe that is it, getting too much gas on the plugs, check the fuel pump regulator.also check the condition of the spark, it is suppose to a blue spark.
