why is orange and black the colors used to recognize , or decorate for halloween , where did these colors come from????

Orange is a harvest color, because the ancient druids, celebrated there rituals at this time of year which is where Halloween came from, black is a mysterious color connotating powers not seen.

A bonfire is part of the celebration of many festivals, Halloween being one of them. Aside from the symbolism of death, things unseen(black) and autumn, harvest (orange), the colors are reminiscent of the flames of the bonfire against the night sky. There's a lot of stuff regarding the significance of the bonfire and it's origins, but that's the short answer.
