No, because it would be disrespectful to the flag. Though if you're being metaphorical, and referring to excessive patriotism, the answer is still no. I think most Americans have at least a minimum amount of pride in their country, enough to defend it when its attacked at least; to the liberal mind, which generally disdains expressions of national pride, even this would be excessive, but the truth is that "wrapping oneself in the flag" (which is usually excessive and not to be taken seriously) is the practice of only a relatively tiny fraction of the population.
