My period usually lasts 4 days. This month it has lasted for 10 days and has been very light. A friend suggested I take a pregnancy test, but I dont thing pregnancy is possible if you are in fact having a period. Is it possible?

It is highly unlikely that you are pregnant. Normally if you miss a period you are pregnant, not if you have an extended one. A change in period can be cause by a lot of things including eating habits, working out, or stress. I really don't think you have anything to worry about. But it would be a good idea to go on the pill and use condoms if you are sexually active.

If there is any doubt spend the few bucks to get a test. If not at least your nerves will be at ease. It is possible to have your period during pregnancy. Hope things turn out the way you want.

If it lasted for 10 days straight, it is highly unlikely you are pregnant... dont waste your money on a test... you should be back on track next month... sometimes your body can go through a hormonal change (imbalance)... meaning for no apparent reason or there might be a reason... you period slightly differs from what it has always been... next month you should be on track if not call a doctor... you might need to be regulated or something.

Yes, pregnancy is possible even when you still have your period. For your piece of mind, you should take a test.

You probably aren't pregnant, but a lot of women have bleeding during pregnancy's and they assume it is a period.

I'd wait and see what you next cycle is like. If it doesn't come or is the complete opposite of normal. I would go see a doc. You may not be pregnant but you could have something else going on.

you can still have your period when you are pregnant. but when it last more days and is lighter than there is a chance your body is just getting rid of the left over stuff from months before. but anyway i would go to the doctor and check. you have to wait after your period is done but they can check you for both that way you know for sure. and not to scare you but there is a possiblity that it is more serious.

I had a period, ovulated, then got pregnant with another baby(I had twins, but was told I had gotten pregnant 3 wks apart with them). My oldest sister had been having her period for 6 months(with 4th child) and delivered a baby boy 3 months AFTER her periods stopped,so to answer your question YES YOU CAN BE PREGNANT :) Go to Dr and get tested and Good luck ^j^

It is possible that you're pregnant, although unlikely. If you're concerned though, I'd recommend you visit your GP, as he may be able to shed some light on the change in your cycle pattern, if you're not pregnant. In any case, it would put your mind at rest. Good luck!
