Your body would run off of fat and protein. However cutting carbs from your diet is not a healthy concept. Certain carbohydrates are important for storing and transporting energy with in the body. In addition they play major roles in cell to cell communication, the immune system, fertilization, pathogenesis, blood clotting, and development.

when no carbohydrate is available in case of prolonged fasting body first uses fats stored in liver & muscles den it uses proteins. it depends on the energy requirements of the body.

It uses processed fats first (fat from your own body) as these fats have already been processed to be used by your body. Then it steps down to bodily protein , then ingested fat and then ingested protein.
