Halloween began as a pagan holiday with religious overtones. Over time, it's popularity grew to what it is now. Frankly I don't get it. I don't believe it'll ever become a federal holiday.

I have always thought that it should be a national holiday. Of course, I am an old man now. And things have changed a lot over the years. These days, people think its a big deal to have a neighborhood get together for the little gobblins. Years ago it was safer, but more fun to go door to door to beg for treats.

confident, yet component to the exciting of halloween is going to artwork or college on your gown. it may basically be fantastic sitting at domicile on Halloween, or procuring. Christmas is non secular, and so are maximum different trip journeys that we get the time without work for, yet national trip journeys usually rejoice Martin Luther King or Christopher Columbus or so on. Halloween would not quite have a reliable excuse like that.

Yes, if simply for the sake of having more national holidays! I think America has only 10 national holidays each year, which is really REALLY tough on us working folks! I think I read somewhere that America is also the country with the fewest national holidays.

Absoluty!!! I mean kids go out to trick or treat at night and when they come home they would be tired. The day after they would be tired and when they are tired they won't focus in school. Also no one wants to go trick or treating early when it's not nighttime yet. That's not fun at all so it should be a national holiday because kids and adults stay out late and the day after they would be tired and are not ready to work or go to school.

No I don't think so. The whole fun of it is Halloween night, so it would be a waste of a whole day.
Plus, there are people who believe that Halloween is evil, because of its history as a Pagan ritual. But I don't, bring on the candy!!!
