"Life" and "love" are four-letter words which sort of rhyme. "Hate" is a four-letter word as well but does not belong in their company. I am not suggesting you use this in your poem, only that you set your imagination going. Life is such a large subject that the danger of generalization and platitude is great. Do avoid them.Good luck.

I really must learn how to write,
Or I shall fail throughout my life,
A poem is what I wish to tell,
But first, I must learn how to spell.
I shorten words to save some time,
For children, this sounds truly fine,
But for older people, just like me,
We cannot read it, too hard to see.
I think you said, when you did ask,
That teacher gave you, a simple task,
To write a poem, on what's meant by life,
Hold on a moment, I'll ask my wife.
She says quite simply, 'Do it yourself',
'It's a simple task, you need no help',
'For your life began, brought by the stork,
Now relax, Nira, do your own homework'.

just think what life means to u. write an outline and convert into a poem. ideas on topic won't help, u'll be able to write better abt. what u think

what does life mean to you? it's yours, no one elses. it has to mean something, unless you think it's worthless. try not to fail the assignment with poor spelling, though
