i live on the ground floor i think its fine. only thing is you can't leave your windows open when you leave your apt. like you can on upper floors. upside you can play your radio louder than anyone because everybody is above you. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

when you have heavy furniture its best!
it's not a good idea when you live in a bad neighborhood where the chances of someone breaking in are great, OR you have loud neighbors above.

It's much better to have to lug your furniture and groceries up flights of twisting stairs.
