my daughter is 15 and 362 days old , here in England the legal age for sexual intercourse is 16 and i have told her to wait until she is legal. This saturday is her 16th birthday party and she wont be fully 16 for one more day. She says her boyfriend wants to have full sex with her and her with him. I know that if she was fully 16 i would agree that it was fine. Any opinions after all its only 24 hours.

morals? what starnge answers i am getting to this question. To clarify matters I am her Father, secondly I wholeheartedly believe in premarital sex and would strongly discourage anyone to enter into something as important as marriage as a virgin, as sex is vitally important in a marriage and two virgins fumbling together on their wedding night would be horrendous.

My opinion is that while talking to your kids about sex IS a good idea, you seem to be discussing too much. I hope to God you are her mom, but by your name it looks like I may be wrong about that.
My advice, it seems like she knows what she is going to do, buy some condoms, leave them in the bathroom & replace them as necessary. After all, if she is going to drive, teach her to put on her seat belt.

You are too controlling or have too much time on your hands to ask such a question. Are you really talking about waiting for one more day? Hey, if they do it after midnight, once everyone has left the party would that be fine? ;-)
I don't think it changes anything to wait or not for a day. We're not even talking about her wedding night so what does it change? Are you scared she would fill a complaint against her boyfriend since I guess he's older...

ummm...WHAT??
that is the most absurd thing i've heard in a very long time. who cares what the 'legal' age is....is she emotionally ready to take all this on? sex is a big deal. i waited until i was 21, and that wasnt long enough. you being her mother should see it the same way. talk to her about why it's important to wait until you're in a meaningful, loving relationship that will last longer than 2 days, which is about how long this one is gonna last---she's just a KID!!

Criminal acts are all a matter of detection.

Reminicient of Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky - if he says it did not happen and she says it did not happen and there are no other witnesses:

It did not happen.

If there is nobody reporting it, then 24 hours will not make a difference

Are you really okay with encouraging your daughter to give away the perfect gift that belongs to her husband? Does her boyfriend love her are is he keeping scores with how many virgins he have been with, does he plan to marry her? What are your morals verses England Laws?

It seems as though this is just based on age. I would tell my daughter to wait until she is ready for this type of relationship. I would not care what the legal age is.

Let it go! It's not even that far away. Remember when you were a teenager? Every time your parents told you not to do something, you wanted to do it more? As long as you have filled her in on how to protect herself and all of that, trust that your parenting was good enough for her to make independent decisions.

Losing your virginity is something you cant get back, and it is more precious than England law. KNow this, S-E-X is sex, once you give it up you cant get it back. so she should think about this really deep and ask her boy friend give her one good reason she should give the most precious thing to him which is apart of her life that she own at this moment.

you are only worried about the 24 hours, i would be worried about trying to get her to wait a lot longer, its a big responsibiity, i would be worried about the boyfriend using her for this very important event.
