Well, in my case, I exercise regularly but I still get bad cramps. I personally take an analgesic with paracetamol as the active ingredient (tylenol, panadol..etc) before I start to feel any pain, and then again every six hours for the first day. A heating pad like other ppl mentioned is also gr8, it helps the blood to get expelled and eliminates the cramps. Try to get a lot of rest and drink something hot, too.

well that sucks. A thing that you should do is lie back in the tub and relax. The thing that sucks for me is that I get cramps while at school and i feel helpless. Once I collapsed on the bathroom floor from the pain. If you are in a public setting try deep breathing. Take an advil before you leave the house. Another great way is to wear a playex heatingpad, perfect in the winter season! In the summer it made me a lil overheated tho.

Drinks lots of water, no sodas. Also try taking a heating pack to the area. Heat works well to stop cramping. If you don't have one handy, make one. Take a washcloth, fold it in half lengthwise and sew up two sides leaving a smaller side open. Fill with rice (not minute rice) until it's about 2/3 of the way full. Sew up the open side. Heat it up in the microwave for about a minute or two and place on lower abdomen for about twenty minutes at a time. It does help relieve the pain.

First of all, take you a midol. That pill works wonders. And even though you feel horrible, exercise. Just simple walking will help. And drink you plenty of water. I have bad cramps also and this always works for me.

I've noticed that since I work out, my cramps are completly gone!! no more cramps. The best day to work out, for me, is the first day of my period. Yoga is an awesome way to help out with any problems. (hot yoga works wonders)

Birth Control normally helps that. Also I would try exercising when you know that you are getting ready to start and drink lots of water
