From my BF I only want to get RED roses, unless he is bringing me roses for like an special occasion like a romantic dinner at home and for ornamental reasons a mix of pink and white or yellow and white works great.

I love yellow, but yellow roses are a sign of friendship. If its for a girlfriend or wife, stick with one of the other three. Cuz she'll know what yellow roses mean and might get upset at what she thinks you're implying.

I love the red ones with yellow/orange tips. But if it had to be a solid color, I would go with yellow.

None of the listed colors...I like black roses, which are actually a deep purple.
Yellow is lame - it "means" friendship.
White is always seen in weddings - or funerals.
Red - too common!
