I would say that you have a slight eating disorder. It sounds slight right now but that doesn't mean that it will stay that way. You should seek some treatment now while you are still in the easier to manage stage. If you wait then you are going to end up looking like Renee Zellweger with a really skinny body and an enormous head. You don't want to do that to yourself. You just need to find a way to feel good about yourself and the way you look. And to appreciate the fact that you are not 100 pounds overweight.

Well, having a problem that centers around your food intake (gross or negligent) is a very important issue because the food you eat has a direct impact on your overall health.
With the height/weight ratio you mentioned, you are slightly underweight, however i wouldn't be concerned about that at this point.
What does concern me is that you said
#1 "I constantly obsess about my wieght".....most people who obsess are overwirght individuals. if you are underwieght this could be a concern.
#2 You said you are cooking extravagant meals, but not eating them. This is a big concern. Not eating at meal time and denying your body nutrition when you are already slightly underweight can be detrimental to your health. Your body needs protein, dairy, carbohydrates, and starches everyday to stay healthy and functional.
My advise to you is to be conscious of how you limit yourself dietarily. Make sure you are eating a healthy breakfast, a hearty lunch, and a light dinner. This formula helps people keep their weight balanced, but for you it can help you become more healthy. You likely have a good figure, but adding the right foods can help you build muscle tone (some exercises would be good too) which will help you appear more toned and less "thin"
Hope this helped.

Do your self a huge favor. Talk to a counselor or therapist. It wouldn't hurt that when you look in a mirror to tell your self to shut up, you look good.
Sometimes the logical part of your brain has to tell the not so logical part where to stop.
I don't know what your background and childhood might be, but if you were abused or over weight as a child that might play a factor in this. I work for a mental health clinic, and I know for a fact that a simple obsession with weight tends to only be a tip of the ice burg. There is quite possibly other things that are factored into your weight obsession.
Trust me, get help for yourself. It's not going to be easy, it will be hard work, and your going to feel like giving up.. BUT, if you stay strong and you work at it, its really worth all the effort you put into it.

an obsession about anything is a problem, sit down with your guests and eat small portions. If I was your guest and you did not eat any of your food I would think there is something wrong with it. You may need co uncling if you can not over come this obsession , I knew someone that was borderline anorexic that did this same thing. This may be the beginning of a more serious problem. your weigh appears to be on the thin side, but if you are comfortable with is stay there but do not lose any.

You do seem to be exhibiting some attention-seeking behaviors which is usually a sign of low self-esteem. For example, I find it hard to believe anyone enjoys a meal you cooked while watching you eat an apple instead. Health-wise there is physically nothing wrong with you. You are thin and that is healthy.

sorry to be so blunt, but i think that with you, you should still eat. the promblem is though you may possibly be suffering from anorexia, which is an eating disorder, in which you do not eat because you, you want to lose weight, or you don't think that you are skinny , before it gets too late and you are in a hospital with tubes down your throat which are feeding you, or be you become very ill and DIE, i would really sugest that you go talk to someone very close to you that you trust, and ask them to help you with this promblem. you have already partially taken the very first step to taking care of your promblem, which is asking, "answers" for an answer. so that right there is a very BIG step which most people don't do.
PLEASE GET HELP BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE OK?

You have the symptoms of anorexia. I went through it and i can tell you it's no fun. The sooner you talk to your doctor the sooner you'll feel better. I know your saying no way not me she's nuts but that's what i said too until i passed out and was sent to the ER for malnutrition. The longer you wait the worse you get and the harder it will be. anorexia never goes away it will always be with you but you will have control over it if you go to your doctor. Good luck

I am the exact same way! Welcome to Hell. I'm 44 and it doesn't go away. For me it's a result of unfortunate childhood crap that I can pin-point - but until I choose to change, it's all my responsibility. You have chosen to be obsessed about something that you feel that you can control...to keep yourself from feeling out of control regarding ..."something". Only you would know what that is. If you could just KNOW that the only part of US that truly matters is what's on the inside and that this "shell" of ours is temporary. We won't always have our looks & thin figures. Don't wait until you're old or injured to see what's on the inside. Question you own truth and believe it. Try these books....

You could definitely enjoy those yummy dinners you cook without overdoing it. It's all about portion control. As far as the obsessing goes, maybe you should look into some therapy before it gets out of hand.
