how do u type in the second colum in microsoft word.?

i am doing home work and i cant rember how to type in my second colum so please help

Go to Format at the top then columns and select the column size, etc. Then just type and once you type one column it will jump to the top of the second. Or there is a columns button on the standard toolbar.

You can Insert a Section Break to jump to the second column.
