Does it matter to you if your boyfriend makes more money than you?

I actually like the fact that my man makes more than me. I make a pretty good living, and I got really sick of guys that thought I should pay for everything because I made more money. I guess I am a little old-fashioned. I like it when a guy takes me out and pays (only if he acts like it is no big deal that he paid)

The amount of money each of you are making is not not as important as sharing common financial values, financial goals, responsibility, etc. If the two of you are not on the same page regarding finances, budgets, savings, investments, major purchases, and future financial success; it will create difficulties in your relationship. My personal advice is to make this a VIP topic for discussion prior to making any long term commitments with anyone.

No it is a good sign that he can support himself plus if he had to his girlfriend. Well any ways I made less then my boyfriend and He made like $100.00 more then me, but he chose to drink it away so I was supporting the both of us till I got rid of the asshole because I found out that he was just using me for money.

Not at all ... he loves the fact he makes more money than me ... he wants to be the provider and bread-maker ... !
I have bigger responsibilities like : truck payment, insurance, daycare cost and a few others ... !
He has a company truck, gas card, no credit cards ... nothing ... so it works out for the both of us ... he wants to take care of me and my daughter any way he can ... !

My boyfriend makes a ton more than me. I don't mind. I like to pay for my own stuff but if need be, it's nice to have a little extra from him.

NO! Not at all! My husband makes 50 cents more than I do! Lol........ We joke about it all the time.
Just as long as you have a job, I think that's all that matters.

NO WAY! My man does and has always made less than I do. It's ok I just have to pay for a few more things because he can't afford it but it's ok.

nope. mine does. i SAVE more money then he does. but he makes more. then agian, i have to part time jobs and go to school and he has a full time job. but he still makes about 1/3 more than me.
