Yes, each of the three major credit information bureaus allow you to ask for and receive a free credit report once every twelve months... ask for it then look at all the entries to see if any credit requests are on there that don't agree with your records...

You can get a free credit report annually by going to this site
www.annualcreditreport.com. Then you can check what they show as your open accounts and if there are any that you don't recognize, someone might have stolen your SS#.
