Why dosen't the US. Government take action in the fight against Global Warming, besides the fact that it may or will cause economical drawbacks? We need to do something quick about this esculating problem and quit pointing the finger at everybody and saying " They're not doin it so why should we". This is a real issue and I haven't see hardly anything if any at all in the media about this issue here recently. Hello the problem didnt just go away its still here and people need to quit letting the government point their heads in different directions on minuscule problems and face the real issue that if we dont do something soon it's definately going to come back and kick us in the rear!!!

Scientific opinion on the issue of global warming is still very much divided. The mainstream media do not tell you the other side of the story, though.
China is the biggest overall polluter on the planet, and India is not far behind. Why are they both exempted from some of the provisions of the Kyoto Protocol?

Higher Taxes help nobody. As for trying to pay for something to stop Global Warming? That assuming we have the power to control the weather of an entire planent. Last time I looked, nobody has said that we do. It's a feel-good deal that can used as another excuse to separate you from your hard earned money. Once a dollar is dropped in the bottomless tax pit it's never seen again. I'd be upset about that if a dollar was actually worth something.

Because it's the corporate sector that is responsible for the major poluting that goes on to make their money ,,,,, Before bush was elected as governor of Texas ,,,,, the state of California was the nations No.1 poluter ,,,,,, After bush was elected ,,,,,,, Texas earned that title ,,,,,, We have a bunch of blitherring idiots in power right now ,,,,,,, Republicans have always catered to the Corporate sector in this country ,,,,, instead of legislating for what's good for the people ,,,,, Money talks and bull s**t walks so to speak ,,,,, The greater percentage of the Republican party ,,,,,if not all of them,,,,,,, is bought and paid for by the Corporate sector ,,,,,,, So why doesn't the government take steps to fight polution and global warming ??? Because it's not cost effective and any member of the corporate sector would literally stab their own mother in the back for that all mighty dollar ,,,,,, So s**tting in every body elses nest to make money is no problem for them ,,,,,, there is no way bush or the republican party would legislate anything that would hinder their buddies in the corporate sectors ability to make money ,,,, Trying to fight polution and global warming would create very serious financial draw backs ,,,,, Just as ANY republican ,,,,,, They do have laws on the books about poluting ,,,,, it costs 25,000 dollar a day to polute ,,,,, but when you are making 10 million dollars a day it's cost effective to just pay the fine and keep on poluting ,,,,, and these wastes are brokered all over the world ,,,,, There is alot more I could say about polution and how it's handled but it's a hugh subject that would just embarrass the Republicans and their corporate buddies and I don't want to be here all day answering the question ,,,,, If you want to breathe deep of the air ,,,, better get a filter ,,,,,,,

Because there is no such thing as global warming, unless of course you're asking for millions of research dollars to help prove a theory. The sixty top scientist in the world wrote a paper discrediting global warming and stressed that there is no proof of anything but normal planetary changes.. There opinion was free by the way...
Satellites, which measure temperatures all over the world, show no real trend in any direction, in fact in recent decades, they show a global cooling.

Patrick J. Michaels, a professor of environmental science, says that, "carbon dioxide is increasing in the atmosphere at a rate below that of most climate-change scenarios because it is being increasingly captured by growing vegetation." 2 This is inconsistent with the global warming theory, which suggests that there should be a strong relationship between carbon dioxide, released by humans, and rising temperature.

Believe it or not the US is a small part of the world. It's government really doesn't control everyone else. Last count world 5+ billion people, US 300 million. Yes, it has a large impact but we can't force other countries to stop chopping down their rain forests. It isn't just us and it is pretty arrogant to think we have the power to control everything. Do some honest to goodness research and you will be amazed at what IS being done by private industry as well as government.

This issue is soooo simple! There simply is NOT enough data to say whether or not there is global warming. Weather records only go back about 100 yrs or so. That is the smallest blip on the screen you can imagine in time. Ice ages and all those things are millions of years in the making. There have been many times in history where glaciers have receeded. There have also been many times where they have grown immensley. This gloom and doom global warming is just simply not based in scientific fact. Its another scare tactic by the left to get everyone thinking the world is going to end unless we do what all the tree huggers want to do.

This government and this country do more than any other country on earth to minimize pollution and, hence, global warming. The Earth has warmed and cooled for ages and long before mankind was here. how do you explain those previous "global warming periods"?
