Im sick in the mornings and in the late afternoons too. I have NO intrest in SEX at all. I feel tired or sick, and never in the mood. Is this normal after you get pregnant? We havent had sex since I started getting sick,a month or so ago?
Im going to have to start giving it up I know....But I do not feel like it at all? Anyone else in this boat, any tips?

I should also add my husband is being very understanding, but I can see the frustration setting in.

Things will get better the second trimester. That will be in about 4 more weeks. You may have to suck it up a couple of times and give in till then. Have a romantic evening to get ready. Cuddle on the couch, have him feed you anything that will not make you sick, have him rub your feet and back, whatever gets you in the mood and then pray you will not throw up on him. Things do get better. Hang in there let you husband know how special he is in other ways then sex.

I am in the same boat your are in and I'm 27 weeks and I still really don't want to have sex. This might change for you after you get over your morning sickness, for your husband sake. But for me my husband has been sooooooooooo understanding because out of the 6 1/2 months we have only did it 3 times. OMG I say to myself if he loves me he will wait until i can meet some of his needs because I'm the pregnant one that is going though all of these mix emotions. Good Luck~~God Bless

What you are experiencing is normal; can you imagine your husband wanting to have sex when he's nauseous? This is short lived, the first trimester is hard, the second you can go after it like rabbits (might as well, you're already pregant!). The third becomes a experience in positioning. Any man that can't control himself for a couple months, well send him to the bathroom with the Playboy and tell him to "get 'er done."
It was interesting that you stated "I'm going to have to give it up" like it was a chore.

The nausea should decrease during second trimester. I found eating Cream of Wheat in the morning to be a big help. I'm like you -- pregnancy meant really bad morning sickness all day long.

Your husband should understand. It's his child too. Besides this will be good celibacy practice for him. Once the baby is here, you won't feel like it very much then.

I have the same problems hon, don't worry about it. I didn't get my sex drive back until about month 4 and even now it's limited. My husband got a little frustrated in the beginning but he got used to it. Now, when I actually feel like doing something I try to make it extra special for him so it's worth the wait.

Morning sickness ( thats what they call it, ha ha...) is quite common at your stage in pregnancy. It usually subsides after a month or so, and your sex drive returns. As a matter of fact, you might find that when it returns, its better than ever before. Not having to worry about birth control can make it so much more fun. So just tell Hubby to be a bit more patient and he will be rewarded. Besides that little bundle of joy growing inside of you is sooooo worth it.

I was nauseous and sickly for 4 to 5 months for both my pregnancies. I was like a bullimic victim, eating and throwing up most of the time. The first 3 months i was even bleeding on and off for BOTH my pregnancies. My younger child, a girl, is nine years old today. She's worth it, so's my son, he's 13 now. :-)
If you can, try to take a lot of rest, i think that worked best for me. I remember taking a lof of naps when i was on medical leave. I have friends who are blessed with smooth sailing pregnancies and some even literally glow. But i also have friends who are bed ridden for many months throughout ... cest la vie.

Don't worry, the sex drive will come back. Once you hit the 2rd trimester watch out!! (usually all the morning sickness is gone by then) In the meantime get creative & play other games with each other...once the baby comes you will be in this boat again so cherish your time together now.

I am 6 and half months pregnant. Sex hasn't been comfortable for a while for me and we have only had it about 3-4 times since I have been pregnant. We normally have a VERY healthy sex life. SO, your husband will just have to bear with you .

I am in the exact same boat as you, and also 8 weeks pregnant. I just keep reassuring my hubby that it will pass then he can have me whenever he wants (to a certain degree of course) but anyway tell him to just hang in there, I am like you and sick morning, noon, and night can't eat anything and just feel like total he!l. Well good luck to us both and congrats on your pregnancy, everyone keeps telling me this will pass so lets hope so!
