I think there are individuals inside the government that do work in the best interests of the citizenry but they are a small and growing smaller minority. Most of the bureaucrats are miniature empire builders trying to line their own pockets.

They are loyal to oil

working for oil they collect money for roads war drugs(pharms) and plastics and of course education channelled funded and sponsored universities designed to find more uses for oil and to hide the evidence that it's bad for you. They call this "taxes" and encourage you to believe the only certainty in life is death and taxes but not necessarily in that order.

Taxes are only legal when there is a commander in chief and the nation at war.

War pharms roads are the biggest consumers of oil with science sponsored and devoted to it's or rather our research funding for exploitation to find more ways to take money from its citizens that way we can work forever for them while they own us and all the money and just pass enough around to own the citizens time. ( i owe my soul to the company store) without anyone ever suspecting the companies that supply the companies that supply the companies that produce or use the products as ingredients are actually just channels to pipeline the cash back to the "hoverseer(s)" that put the puppets in office.

Without anybody except maybe a few with conspiracy theories ever knowing (its hard to see yourself from within yourself when its been that way for generations) and they commence to lock those up because they are crazy in concensus reality which has no certainty of being real but depends on the consistancy of the concensus.

We are used to being slaves for oil
and quite proud of it
we call it providing for our family
when we devote our souls (time) to the company
rather than givig our time to our family directly.

The USG has the citizens best interests in mind when they show interests for the people.

It could make war illegal making death and taxes less certain, most people don;t want war and since oil proffits the most from war in demoltion and reconstruction the usg has oils best interests in mind not the peoples they don't want to give their sons and daughters for the usg interests.

If the usg made war illegal, then they would have the citizens best interests in mind but as is now oil and profit drive the politics.

As long as there is a commander in chief (only times of war)(always) its not really us g its more like commander g.

I don't think it would be difficult to get support from the un to make war illegal globally with the world on your side who would dare break the law no war regime could stand that not even the usg.

The citizens wouldn't have to provide for the best interests of the usg with their own citizens(children) if war was illegal and the government could actually learn or study or perhaps even listen to the people themselves to discover what is in reality the best interest of its citizens.

I want to say for the most part, that yes-- the United States government has its denizens best interests at heart. However, what with recent revelations about our current administration, I feel that this may no longer be the case.

The only thing that Bush has on his agenda is to keep power for the Republicans! He doesn't care about the law, the constitution or the country! He is willing to sell the country out to keep the power and the money!

Not a chance. Like all pols, they have their own personal best interests at heart unless they're up for re-election and then they pretend to have the best interests of their constituents in mind until election day.

It has the interests of those who are rich enough to own big chunks of it at heart.

Those of us who can't afford to buy hundreds of congress-persons are left out in the cold.

I feel that both parties want what is best for the country and its citizens. They do however have very different views on what is best.
