my brother and I are three years, which worked out well growing up and he was a november b-day so he was a grade back from where he should be and we were never in high school together which may have made a big difference! It made him feel like I was so much older since his freshman year I was a college freshman not there for him but then again no one was there for me! I want my kids to be close- like maybe 2 years so the first is walking and stuff in time for the second. I don't wanna have one of those two-baby strollers they're so hard to drive! I want three kids and I might have one and wait 3-4 years and then have the next two close together vus I'll have a little helper to enjoy the process with! We'll see how God pans it out for me!

Everybody I know says 1-3 years. I have decided to have a much larger gap of 8-10 years. For me, it's a financial issue. I think about the future and how hard it would be to provide both children around the same time a car, money for college, etc. I want to provide my children with everything they need to give them a foot up in life.

I believe about 2 years. I have 13 month old boy and he is at the age he wants to play but no older siblings and I'm a stay at home. But I think once your younger one is potty trained you have over come a lot of monumental parts in that childs life so you could take on another and not be over whelmed. Then they are still close in age, and won't feel like they are from two differ planets lol.

Our first two were 10 mo. and 3 days apart (the second one came early but still!!!) and then we have our youngest who is 21 months younger than that. They all get a long great since they play with the same things and like the same movies! We're pregnant again and there will be 3.5 years between our last daughter and this one....so I guess we'll see :)

the ideal spacing is 2 years. that way they can still grow up together, and the baby has it's chance to be the baby.

There is 3 years, one month , and 2 days between my children. And I think that is wonderful. My daughter loves helping me take care of my son. She has always been wonderful. Old enough to understand that mama has to take care of the baby, and she can help if she is gentle enough. Shes great with her baby brother. It was so cute, when I was in the hospital in labor, she gave me her favorite stuffed Pooh bear to hold onto to make me feel better.....and when her baby brother was born, she took Pooh from me, and put it in the babys little "box" where they kept him in the nursery. It was adorable.

My brother and I are a year apart and it was great growing up. We moved alot, so we always had each other to play with and for company. Both of our parents worked, as well, so we spent quite a bit of time together.

I think it depends on you and your other half. It all depends on what you guys can deal with. It's totally up to you. If you'd like you children to be 1 year apart or 15 years apart, it's totally up to you.
