I'm sure women would be allowed to play but the truth is that none of them can play at that level. The US woman's team the best in the world played some warm up games against some low level college teams as a warm up for a tournament and struggled mightily. There is no way they hang with the full US Men's team. The physical size, strength and speed of the top soccer players is just to much for them. I doubt most could even play in the lower US men's division let alone the MLS or a European league.

Women can play in the Women's World Cup, which next takes place in 2007 (Germany are reigining champions) but cannot play in the men's version. However women have been known in recent years to sign for some lesser known male club teams in Belgium and Italy

There is a World Cup for Womens' football, it's just that the Mens' football generates more interest.
The last Womens' World Cup took place in USA in 2003:

Women are capable of being as skillful as men. However, they rarely have the physical strength to compete with men over 90 minutes' worth of physical-contact sport. To ask them to compete would be asking either for men to alter the way they play or women to accept bone-crunching tackles that female bodies aren't (generally) designed for.
The fact that there is a separate competition for women demonstrates that there is no discrimination.

They have a seperate tournament especially for the Women, it takes place a year after the mens tournament - 2007 for the next one!
Englands Women team qualified for it a couple of weeks back.
You'll probably hear more about it, closer to the time of it, I guess we don't hear that much about it, due to marketing/publicity, big brands not interested!

It is a fact that women are much worse than men at football. You only have to watch a so called top flight game to see this. It is nearly impossible to get a womens team that would play in most country's highest league nevermind at world level.

No they cant, and no its not.
Women have exclusive gyms, exclusive hairdressers and exclusive car insurance. There is no discrimination in the world any more, unless you count the fact that the only set of people in the world who do not have human rights nob heads constantly going on about them are white males.
Yes thats right, white males are the worlds last minority group, everyone else being in the catagory of "people you have to be extra nice to, just because they are not white males"
oh, and by the way, the US womens team is better because no-one in america actually knows what football is really about, it is not about wearing girly padding.

I am 100% confident that the US womens team would be thrashed by their US male counterparts. Womens football is light years behind mens football.
Also, women cannot compete at the mans level...not fast enough, tough enough, strong enough....do I have to say more?
