I am terrible at taking tests, and I need to pass this class.

Just solve the problems in the textbook. If you can solve about 90% of them without looking at the solutions, then you'll probably do fine.

I was terrible at Physics at first but after solving 80 problems per chapter, I started getting better at it.

Review your old tests. That will remind you of the material you've covered so far...and it's very probably that the professor will have questions resembling those on the mid-term. After all, he thought they were important the first time.
