Is making someone sweep the street really works as a punishment, especially celebrities?

No. They should have to work as hard as I do for $300 a week, THAT would be better punishment! Plus, they should have to buy their clothes off the rack, do their own dishes, their own laundry, scrub their own toilet, and cook their own meals. (and yardwork and everything else!). What a bunch of whiners!!!!!

I would like to rosanne bar , Mcdonna, operah, all rappers, brad pitt, and a few others out there working wihtout cameras on them. cleaning up garbage dumpsters, sweeping streets , picking up trash.

of course..they dont even sweep their own houses so being in the public with everyone watching them is very degrading and more punishment than jut having them paya fine cuz they r rich already...except screech. mc hammer and gary coleman

no it's not really a good enough punishment at all. at least it might put a bit of shame into them though. just send the prats to jail like every other criminal!
also in england when people are sentenced to life they serve 12 years. i htink that's disgusting. if you are sentenced to life, serve life.
