The only thing i can think of is I cleaned the room yesterday and the laptop may have been exposed to some dust?

The computer still seems to function but the pink screen color is certainly difficult to work with.

I tried shutting off rebooting without success.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

thanks, JL

If it's the screen, then it may be going out on you. Could be the connection may be loose, the screen is dying out or the lamps are malfunctioning.

Above is correct. My IBM starts like yours and clears up as it warms, so, I figure a matter of time now. Also, mine the hinges are tight and opening and closing over time it start to crack, sometimes when it going the Screen get real dim and I slap it on the back and it brighten up again, this rare, but, happens.
