ooooooo you better take that hat off! yes it is bad manners! i want to remove peoples hats all the time when im in a restaurant and the keep their hats on not like McDonald's but classy places:) and more importantally when a guest in someones house!!

Yes. When sitting at any table where eating is done, it's considered rude. Old school manners say that it's rude for a male to have his head covered at all indoors....

YES.....why ya scared to catch a head cold while eating?be a real man and do the right thing,take your hat off while eating,
unless youre a freaking big sweat hog,tabbaco chewing,toothless jarhead,whiskey slobering drunk redneck then i guess you could leave it on,since freaking rednecks dont have manners anyway.but they do have a nice empty beer and whiskey bottle collection setting on top of the tv,what a bunch of stooges......

Yes. You should take off your hat out of respect to those you are dining with.

As an added note.... hats should also be taken off during the National Anthem... something that doesn't seem to be done anymore, sadly.

Yes it is. Years ago men would take their hats off to show respect. You and many other men, should do the same.

it all depends...if you're just eating with a bunch of friends at a restaurant, i don't think it really matters. but if you're eating somewhere nice and with family then you should take off your hat. but casual meals, don't stress too much about it. mind your own business and just have fun~!
