I do a lot of 3d origami. I am looking for a good source of paper. What I most need is to be able to get a large quantity of single colors or patterns.

Your best bet is to probably get a giant stack of post-it notes or that sort of thing. Try to find the ones that are stuck together by a rubbery thing along one side of the stack. The ones with the sticky back aren't so great for folding. But this is by far the best and cheapest way to get 1000 square sheets of paper. The squares will be a bit small but origami cranes aren't hard to fold so you should be more than fine.

I went to my source for papers, Dick Blick. The catalog does not offer individual colors origami papers. They offer such a wide variety of papers, possibly you could find a type that you could adapt. check out the web site....wwwdickblick.com.
